Where is Siri AI unavailable?
European Union

How to update safely
Before installing iOS 27:
- Back up the iPhone. Use iCloud or an encrypted computer backup, especially if the phone contains irreplaceable photos, messages or authentication data.
- Check free storage. Open Settings > General > iPhone Storage and remove unnecessary downloads if space is limited.
- Connect to reliable Wi-Fi and power. Avoid starting the installation when you urgently need the phone.
- Open Software Update. Go to Settings > General > Software Update, then follow the onscreen instructions.
- Update important apps afterwards. Banking, authentication, workplace and accessibility apps are particularly worth checking.
Temporary warmth or increased battery use can occur after a major update while the iPhone completes background processing. Leave it connected to power and Wi-Fi for a while before judging battery performance.
Why Siri AI might still be missing
If Siri AI does not appear after the update, check these conditions in order:
- The exact iPhone model supports Apple Intelligence.
- iOS 27 is fully installed.
- Both the device and Siri use English during the initial rollout.
- The iPhone is not being used in an excluded region, particularly the EU or China.
- Any required Apple Intelligence setup has completed.
For many users, a missing Siri AI option is therefore an availability issue rather than a failed iOS installation. Changing the language can resolve a language mismatch, but it cannot override an official regional restriction.
