Why is it worth coming right now?
Bešeňová is located less than 12 km from Ružomberok, and thanks to a borehole 1,987 m deep, thermal water with a temperature of 60.5 °C rises here—among the hottest in Slovakia (Bešeňová). The combination of healing minerals and modern attractions makes the complex an ideal choice for a one-day getaway as well as a multi-day holiday.
The healing power of geothermal waters
The geothermal water is rich in calcium, magnesium and sulfates. It helps with musculoskeletal conditions, respiratory issues and urological problems (Bešeňová). In the pools, it is cooled to a pleasant 36–40 °C, so children can enjoy it too.
Adrenaline attractions and the “best” slides
The biggest draw of the summer season is a 30-metre slide tower with six lanes; two of them are over 220 m long and rank among the longest in Slovakia (ruzomberskyhlas.sk). Add a wave pool, a rafting channel and a water volcano—and boredom is not an option.
Relax zone & Harmónia Wellness & Spa
If you’re looking for peace and quiet, head to the wellness area with themed saunas (salt, menthol, herbal) and the Átrium relaxation zone. Access can be purchased as an add-on to any Aqua Ticket—a 3-hour surcharge costs an adult €23 (Bešeňová).

Practical information (opening hours, services)
The water park is open daily from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, with attractions closing 15 minutes before the end of the day (Bešeňová). Parking and Wi‑Fi are included in the admission price. On site you’ll find a food court, kids’ corners and free sun loungers.
Where to stay nearby
Right by the pools is the four-star Hotel Galeria Thermal, with unlimited access to the aquapark. A cheaper alternative is a family guesthouse or an apartment in the village of Bešeňová; most offer the Liptov Region Card with a 5% discount on admission (Bešeňová).

Tips to maximize your experience
- Come early in the morning. The pools tend to be calmest until 11:00 am.
- Alternate between warm and cool pools. You’ll boost circulation and speed up recovery.
- Don’t forget to stay hydrated. Mineral water dehydrates you faster than regular water.
- Take advantage of the evening sauna rituals. Book ahead—capacity is limited.
